2009

One-word titles rock. (Eh wait, 2009 isn't even a word!)

Today is the last day of 2009, many boring things (yes, boring) happened during this rather boring year (yes, boring, again), but, at least I'm happy with some stuffs.

Here is the list of "accomplishments" that I "accomplished" in 2009:

~ Getting top 20 in class for the first time in my secondary school life. (#19)
~ Getting a bronze medal in a Taekwondo competition. (but somehow, I don't feel THAT proud T_T)
~ Succeed in organizing quite a lot of gatherings. (Although, none of them is what I called "major")

Yes, those are my 3 MAJOR accomplishments, although none of them is really "major". D:

Now for the fun part, this is the list of "random accomplishments" that I "accomplished" in 2009:

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING LIST IS VERY, VERY RANDOM. PLEASE DO NOT VIEW IT IF YOU HAVE PHOBIA OF RANDOMNESS OR JUST FREAKING HATE RANDOM STUFFS.

~ Completed my first "actual" game- Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. (I called it my first "actual game" cause it's storyline just rocks, and the ending nearly made me cry, literally. And games are SUPPOSED to have good storyline eh?)
~ Completed Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce using a level 50 Zhao Yun.
~ Celebrated my blog's 1st anniversary. (Okay I admit, I didn't REALLY celebrated it. =X)
~ Successfully tick off Bing Xing. (Yes, I know, I KNOW YOU ARE READING THIS BING XING.)

And many, many, MANY more. Just too lazy to type them all out.

Well, wish me luck for my upcoming PMR! *Eats my History book*

Dissidia: Final Fantasy for the PSP

How long WAS it since I updated this blog? Nearly a month? Yes, "NEARLY".

This, along with GTA Vice City Stories on PSP, are the main reasons I was not active. (Okay, I was NEVER an active blogger X_X)

Simple enough, if you have a PSP, old model, new model, blablabla, just GET THIS GAME.

Ok, done with the bleh-ness, time for some info:

(Credits to Final Fantasy Wiki, full link HERE)
Dissidia is an action-based fighting game mixed with RPG elements. Battles take place on fully rendered 3D fields, with characters free to roam around as they please. The environment can also be interacted with, with characters able to run up walls, grind along railings and destroy pillars and floors with attacks. In battle, players have two types of attacks - Bravery and HP. Every character has their Bravery Points located above their HP bar, and whenever they land an HP attack, the damage done is equal to their Bravery. Striking an opponent with a Bravery attack will drain their Bravery and increase the attacker's, thus increasing the HP damage they can do. If a player's Bravery is reduced to below zero, they enter "break" mode, where they cannot inflict HP damage, Bravery attacks against them do increased damage, and their opponent receives a significant boost to their Bravery. Every character has their own unique fighting style and attacks, usually based on the character's abilities in their original game.

In addition to Bravery and HP attacks, players can use Summons to assist them in battle, and can find new Summons in certain stages or as part of a stage bonus. There is also an "EX Bar" meter which fills up during battle by collecting the EX Force that appears when players strike each other, or the randomly appearing EX Cores. Once filled, the character can enter EX Mode which grants a character-specific bonus and gives access to an EX Burst, a special move that deals massive damage to their opponent. These moves are often a reference to each character's signature attack in their respective game, such as Squall using his Renzokuken or Kefka using Light of Judgment. After the battle is over, characters are rewarded with Gil, EXP, and AP. Further awards may be given if the player fulfills certain conditions during the fight itself, such as winning within a time limit or landing an attack of a certain strength.

Of the twenty-two playable characters, each maintains their own Experience level, and share the same equipment supply. Characters begin at level one with only a handful of basic moves, but as they gain Exp and level up they can learn more advanced moves. These moves are equipped to a character using CP, with a character able to equip as many moves as they wish as long as the total does not exceed their maximum CP. By earning AP, a character can master a move, reducing the CP needed to equip it, and sometimes make new abilities appear. Characters can also earn various bonus abilities and bolster their stats through equipment and accessories. Player can also earn PP, which are used to purchase special gameplay features, such as new characters or bonus music tracks.

In storyline gameplay, players move about a token representing their character on a tiled gameboard, and move up to objects and enemies and interact with them using "Destiny Points". Every time the player moves their character, they must use one Destiny Point, and can sometimes earn more by defeating enemies. If the player is able to finish a stage without using all their Destiny Points, they earn a special bonus. When the player reaches the Stigma of Chaos at the end of the stage, the stage is completed and the player is awarded Gil and PP depending on their remaining Destiny Points, HP, and other factors. Sometimes at the end of a stage, the player fights another character; in all ten "Destiny Odyssey" stages, after five stages the player fights their character's nemesis in the arena from their original game, such as Cloud fighting Sephiroth at the Planet's Core. When all ten Destiny Odyssey stages are completed, the player is given access to the Shade Impulse storyline, which leads the final boss of the game, Chaos.

*************

Ok, now that was just a filler, no kidding, since technically only those who love FF but doesn't have Dissidia will read that.

MY SUMMARY OF THE GAME:

Dissidia is a fighting game, a 3D one. No, not like Street Fighter or Tekken or whatever, think those Naruto fighting games in pure 3D. They're ALMOST the same (note the word ALMOST). There are two types of attacks, no, not offensive and defensive, they are Bravery Attacks and HP Attacks.

--------------
My own summary of Bravery Points/Attacks and HEALTH POINTS/Attacks:

(Images are taken from either GameFAQs, Final Fantasy Wiki or Wikipedia)

BRAVERY POINTS/ATTACKS: (This will be VERY LONG) See those giant 58 and 127(5) numbers on the bottom of the screen? Those are Bravery points. Press the O button to execute a Bravery attack to deplete your opponent's bravery points and increase your own. Sounds simple? Yes and no. The thing is, when using a bravery attack, the opponent's HP won't deplete, means you can't technically KILL an opponent with bravery attacks alone. Bravery points affect your attack power, example, if your bravery points is 800 and your opponent's is 400, you'll deal 800 damage to your enemy when using a HP attack and he'll deal 400 damage to you. What happens if your/your opponent's BP was reduced to zero? He/she will enter BREAK mode, which makes their HP attacks does 0 damage, and their opponent gets a GREAT boost in BP.

HEALTH POINTS/ATTACKS: Directly below the BP is a bar, that's your HP bar, below it, written in small numbers (78/1500 AND 1310/1550) are your HP points. When it reaches zero he/she will DIE (yay). HP attacks are done by pressing the SQUARE button, the higher your BP, the higher your HP attacks power. Simple enough eh?
--------------------

Other than that, there are SUMMONS, YESH, YOU CAN ACTUALLY SUMMON MONSTERS LIKE PIKACHU, RAYQUAZA, EVERYTHING, well, not EVERYTHING I suppose. Summons can help you drain an enemy's BP or HP, or even boost your power. I suppose that's clear enough.

Now for the FUN part- EX MODE. See the bottom left part? There's one "VERY HANDSOME" guy there. On his left is the EX bar (ok, there's one on the bottom right as well, but the picture is a little too big so). Well, you probably know what it does. Hit enemies or getting hit boosts it a little, but getting EX cores located randomly on the battlefield boosts it by a HELL lot. When it's full, pressing R+SQUARE button will transform you into EX MODE.

...

Well, you should probably know what it does right now. EX Mode either super-transforms your character into a cooler/uglier version (most probably "cooler"), or super-transforms your weapon into a MUCH COOLER version. Pictures? See below (If you wanna compare them to their original version, just go to FFWIKI and search their names)

Cloud Strife's EX mode, Equipped Ultima Weapon (Only his weapon changes)

Kefka Pallazzo's EX mode, Power of Destruction.

Cloud of Darkness's EX mode, Flood of Darkness.

During EX mode, well, you gain boosts like Regen (recovers HP), attack boosts, new attacks, and most importantly, the EX BURST.

Well, I'll let these two videos explain the EX Burst.

Cloud Strife's EX Burst- Omnislash

Sephiroth's EX Burst- Super Nova (WAAAAAAY shorter than his FF7 version)

Yeah, they're super moves which requires some button presses.

----------------------

Other than pure fighting, there is a Story Mode, where you progress through the story as one of the ten main Characters- Warrior of Light, Firion, Onion Knight, Cecil, Bartz, Terra, Cloud, Squall, Zidane and Tidus.

There are four "parts" in story mode, which are Destiny Odyssey, Shade Impulse, Distant Glory and Inward Chaos (All of them are yet again, split into "Chapters" except Inward Chaos, for more info, read THIS, scroll down to the bottom of the page for the other 3)

Well, you move on a board similar to the chess board, and you... (Seriously, you need to PLAY to understand this.)

Note that the storyline here isn't as "deep" as the other Final Fantasy.

Also, click HERE if you still don't get it.

--------------------------

Of course, there are tons of arenas and characters for you to choose, 12 arenas isn't really "a lot", but it's actually pretty fun to play with, there are 22 TOTALLY different characters as well, no clones, each move are exclusive to one another.

There are five modes in case I haven't mentioned: Story mode, Quick Battle (more like a "training mode"), Arcade Mode (Obvious), Connection Mode (using Ad-Hoc) and Duel Colloseum.

-------------------------

REVIEWS TIME:

Gameplay (8/10)- Hardcore Final Fantasy fans will find this interesting, new Final Fantasy fans will TOO, find this interesting. Imagine controlling your own character, chasing the opponent, dodging that OMGWTHBBQ-ing large meteor and EX BURST. (This game made me a Final Fantasy fan and actually made me search FFWiki for the storyline of each character)

Replay Value (8.5/10)- Fighting games are not considered as one if they don't have replay values right?

Learning Curve (Normal)- No scores for this one, it's not easy to master the controls, but keep playing it and you'll finally be able to dodge that OMGWTHBBQ-ing LAZER.

Sound (8/10)- Aw, there's no original One Winged Angel, just some remixed version. But they are still cool.

Controls/Camera (8/10)- Minor (very minor) flaws with the camera, but the controls are responsive, no "accidentally-dying-due-to-control-flaws" situation.

OVERALL- 8/10

FAQS:

Q: I don't have a PSP, is this game worth the PSP alone?
A: I can't really answer this question, but there are many other cool PSP games out there, getting a PSP just for one game isn't that worth it. D:

Q: How many playable characters are there?
A: If you're talking about arcade mode, 20 characters and 2 unlockables. For story mode, only 10.

Q: Why does every character has so less moves?
A: Play this game long enough and you won't be asking for more.

Q: How to evade attacks and block?
A: Press R+X and the direction you want to evade to. To block, press R (it's more like a parry since you can't just hold down the R button)

Q: Where should I find more info about this game?
A: HERE. (WARNING: INFO OVERLOAD)

Q: How to run on walls/glide on "rails"?
A: When you see a yellow arrow pointing to a wall/rail/whatever, press and hold TRIANGLE to do so.

Q: Will this be released on other consoles/PC?
A: ABSOLUTELY NO. This game was made exclusively for the PSP, no PSP, don't play. D:

Misc FAQS:

Q: OMG KEFKA'S LAUGH IS SO...
A: Yeah, I understand.

Q: Why doesn't Sephiroth turns into Safer Sephiroth during his EX mode?
A: He'll be too imbalanced that way. Don't worry, his Dissidia version of Super Nova could already destroy the Sun.

Q: LOL.
A: *Shoots*

Estuans interius, ira vehementi. Estuans interius, ira vehementi. Sephiroth, Sephiroth.

Yes, One Winged Angel, Safer Sephiroth, aka. "the rather imbalanced final boss of Final Fantasy VII"'s theme song.

Obviously I know the song was released about a decade ago, but the first time I listened to it was like, yesterday? Love at first "hear"? (Bleh, that wasn't a good one).

Just in case you wanna hear it. Click HERE.

Being a rock fan, I seldom hear songs of other genres, especially orchestra. However this song just, well, rocks. Listen to it (if you haven't) and you'll know.

Oh, in case you haven't seen THIS before, go watch it. It's Sephiroth's ultimate move, pretty cool for a video game released IN 1997.

Alright, a big thank you for those who actually READ this, since my blog is nearly dead now. Tada~

Adieu 2A4~

Goodbye 2A4, you'll always be in my heart.

Random.

Yes, random. LOL.

Alright then, our school had some kind of "Inter-class Drama Competition" on Wednesday and guess what? Our class DID(n't) participate. Too bad, but the other classes were pretty much okay. The title was "The Phantom of the Opera", not much to say about that, but damn some of them were just too funny. (Persian > Singaporean LOL)

Thursday, it rained, yes, rained. No football for the poor boys (I'm not a football fan to be exact). Basketball, badminton, what else?

Friday, it's either UNO cards or chess for me. Played 5 rounds of chess with Xi Jun and only won 1 (yay). Gee, everyday is nearly identical after the exams lol.

Currently making a new novel lol, in case you didn't notice the obvious sneak peak near the top of my blog. It'll be long if I'm not THAT lazy, 20 chapters, more than 25 characters and non-stop thrill, since it's a fantasy-action type novel.

Yep, gathering at 1U tomorrow, gonna watch 2012...

... (Damn I seem to ran out of ideas to post after the exams lol)

Tada~

Here's my own "survey" on "games" and "stuffs related to it". (Nothing else to do now lol)

TOUHOU (part 2)

Since the last Touhou post (about a few months ago) didn't impress some, this time I'm going to explain about the game "Touhou", in a more detailed way.

Touhou is a game created by a one-man game developer named Team Shanghai Alice. His name is ZUN. Yes, he's the main programmer, scriptwriter, graphic artist, and music composer of the game, no kidding. This game is proven to be the most drastic "bullet hell" game ever made, and until now, there are 10 Touhou games including 2 fighting games and one spin-off.

Yes, bullet hell. It ain't the shooter ya always play. Normal shooters won't have more than a hundred bullets on a screen at a time, but in Touhou, there are 200. LOL.

PICTURE TIME. (they are different from the past post rawr)

NOTE: Everything or anything which has different colours than the background are BULLETS. Character is marked with a GREEN box. Bullets cannot touch the small red dot (hitbox) of the character. Every pictures below are from the hardest mode in the game, so don't be afraid, easy mode is just EASY. Last Word is a boss's finisher move.

And this is just the bullets of a normal enemy in the hardest (lunatic) mode.

Final stage, yet it's just 2 enemies but the bullets are more than 200. =.=

Sakuya Izayoi's Last Word- Deflation World. YESH, THOSE ARE KNIVES, HAPPY?
Eirin Yagokoro's Last Word- Heaven Spider's Butterfly-Capturing Web. Spider webs prove to be dangerous sometimes, especially in bullet hell games.
Reisen Udongein Inaba's Last Word- Lunatic Red Eyes. And she's just a moon rabbit who can drive people insane and blablabla.
Alice Margatroid's Last Word- The Phantom of the Grand Guignol- The combination of a girl and her 8 dolls. Beautiful eh?
Tewi Inaba's Last Word- Ancient Duper. The finisher of yet another bunny, and boy those bullets are just FAST.
Yukari Yakumo's Last Word- Profound Danmaku Bounded Field -Phantasm, Foam and Shadow (Part 1). Long name, long spell (you have to survive for 90 seconds!) and also the hardest spell on Imperishable Night.
Yukari Yakumo's Last Word- Profound Danmaku Bounded Field -Phantasm, Foam and Shadow (Part 2). Second part of this hell. Yes, all of the red, blue and purple "cards" are bullets, yes, they form a pattern.
Yukari Yakumo's Last Word- Profound Danmaku Bounded Field -Phantasm, Foam and Shadow (Part 3)- The final 15 seconds of this hell. Imagine guiding your character's hitbox past all of the narrow-spaced bullets, WITHOUT GETTING HIT.
Some Perfect Cherry Blossom pics. (PCB is the hardest Touhou game available, taken from TouhouWiki)

GAWD, this is not even a spell, it's just a boss's normal attack, I mean it, NORMAL ATTACK.

Yukari Yakumo- Bounded Field "Boundary of Life and Death". Mind counting how many TYPES of bullets there are?
Yes, now it's time for TEH ULTIMATE REVIEWS. D:

*Drum rolls*

Gameplay value: 8/10
It solely depends whether or not you are interested in shooters at the first place. But it's no harm trying even if you HATE shooters very much that you prefer bashing your head against the wall than shooters, since I don't really call this a "shooter".

Replay value: 9/10
Which shooter doesn't have a good replay value? With so many bosses and some OMGWTHBBQ-ing bullets, replaying is a must.

Storyline: 9.5/10
Each Touhou game (7 altogether) has a different storyline with different girls introduced (Yes, everyone, the protagonist and antagonist are girls). Plus, these characters are just memorable. (hugs Reisen)

Sound: 9/10
MOST shooter's music are just repetitive, but this isn't. Seriously, these musics actually represents what stage/boss you're in/fighting. And ZUN is the only one making it, yes, all 100+ musics, cheers!

Learning Curve: 7.5/10
Yes, every Touhou game has different power-ups, score systems and sometime penalties. You need to get used to it when you play, or else you might just crash into a bullet. But once you mastered it, it won't be the slightest confusing, seriously.

Overall: 8.5/10
YOU LOVEz SHOOTERS? YOU MUSTz TRY.

To get it, for CHS-ians, just call/MSN me and I'll give you the game stored in a thumbdrive. For my online pals, just MSN me and I'll give you the link, since posting the link here isn't a smart decision.

Friday, October 16, 2009

YAY, just YAY.

YAY.

Yup, just one word to fully describe today's mood. I MIGHT not be doing well in the exams, but who isn't at least "a little" relieved that hell hath ended its fury. :D

So, what I'm gonna do now, you may ask...

1.) Complete God of War 2. (OMGWTHBBQ I HAVEN'T DONE SO AFTER KEEPING THE CD FOR 2 YEARS.)
2.) Pass Touhou 8: Imperishable Night on Normal. (Yup, I couldn't pass it before)
3.) Pass Raining Blood on Hard on Guitar Hero III. (Damn it's hard)
4.) Download Dragonica, Combat Arms, Sword of the New World (Grando Espada) and Warriors of the 3 Kingdoms.
5.) BUY DISSIDIA: FINAL FANTASY rawr.

Short post, will post more after I completed the above "tasks". :D

Exam Madness 2009

Somehow this upcoming exam is really making me mad. D:

Today is arguably the LAST actual holiday before the exam starts. And yet, I still hadn't enough confidence yet to score at least (YESH, AT LEAST) top 20 in the class... *Bangswallahundredandonetimes*

Although I studied and hopefully, mastered most of the subjects (Note the word HOPEFULLY), other than Sejarah (History) and Geography of course, it's always hard to actually relax during the countdown for the final exam, which is TUESDAY, 2 days from now. D=>

This is probably one of the VERY, VERY few times I actually got nervous about an exam I took for almost 7 years. Nervous... Nervous... Ne...r...vo...us... *Jumpsofthegrandcanyon*

Alright, enough posting for now. Yeah, my blog is kinda dead. Hopefully it'll be revived after the exams. See ya!

No, My Blog Isn't Dead

As the title says. lol

How long was it since I last posted? About a month ago?
Yesterday's Independence Day was a little, quiet I guess. I didn't watch the 40-minute parade and I didn't watch the fireworks. D=

Alright, main topic, about last Sunday's gathering. It was rather fun to be exact. Our destination was Sunway Pyramid and the gathering time was 12pm. But we started at 12.20 due to you-know-why.

Alright, there were 5 people going, ME, Ivan, Jia Yuen, Shi Ken and Ting Jie. First of all, we went to the usually-crowded cinema to buy some tickets for the movie G.I. Joe (yes, we haven't watched it yet), and guess what? It was just, EMPTY. Seriously, we only waited about 30 seconds and yeah, I'll let this "drama" tell the story.

-----

*All 5 of us went in front of the counter*

Jia Yuen: Um, 5 tickets for the movie G.I. Joe please?
Counter: 5 tickets for G.I. Joe right?

*Counter clicked random stuffs on the computer until the seating plan was revealed*

Counter: We only have these 5 seats which are near together. 4 in front and 1 in the back (somewhat like a horizontal L shape). Is it okay?

*Jia Yuen turned his head and talked with us*

Jia Yuen: 这个位置OK吗? (Is this place ok?)
Ivan: 我不管的,你们选啦!(I don't care, you guys choose!)
ME: Aiya, 有没有太前? 我平时坐后面的! (Is it too in the front? I usually sit in the back!)
Ting Jie: 谁要坐后面? (Who want to sit in the back?)
Jia Yuen: 我坐拉! ( I will sit.)
Shi Ken: 快一点啦! 等一下还要吃午餐啦! (Faster! Later we need to have lunch!)
ME: 真的可以吗? (Are you really sure you want to sit there?)

*We continued discussing for about 20 seconds*

Jia Yuen: Aiya, 这个位置可以拉! 不要再讲了!

*Jia Yuen turned his head to the counter*

Jia Yuen: Ok la! We choose this place!

*After we paid the money and get the tickets, we left*

AND SO, we spent nearly 2 minutes of our lifetime doing something so useless like that. D:

We went to the arcade. As usual, I spent RM10 trying to boost up my THOTD4 (The House of the Dead 4) skills, but always dies in the end of the 3rd stage. Later, I tried out Dance Dance Revolution FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. Hey, it was pretty fun, although I just look awkward. With some help from my past O2jamming skills and Guitar Hero skills, I did not had any problem with the quick notes (I only had problems with my foot, since feet were used to play). After that, I watched them race (which I am not really interested in). We spent about RM50 in total there. (Alright, that was too much.)

Later, we went to A&W to eat. Nothing much happened here, so I'll skip this part.

After putting on our masks, we went to the cinema to watch the movie. I can say the movie was cool, very exiting for those who like gadgets and robotic stuffs.

Again, for the don't-know-how-many time, we went to my house (why is it my house all the time?) to play after the movie. Nothing much happened, again...

...And they went home at 6.30pm.

This isn't a long post IMO, but at least it proved that my blog ISN'T dead right? :D

Taekwondo WTF 1-Day School Camp

Meh, some of you might knew already, but still MEH. D:

Well, the camp was held on Saturday, but because of yesterday's gathering (yes, the same old thing again), I'll only post about it today. D=

After the Taekwondo lessons (from 9 ~ 11am), we ate lunch (Fried Mee Hoon lol), changed our clothes, and start playing. (Yeah, the camp wasn't really about Taekwondo after all lol)

First off, all of us was splitted into 7 groups which I-forgot-what-their-names-are. Our group's name is "Juniors" LOL. The first "game" was what-I-called "Straw and Rubber Band Game". We tried to balance the rubber band (through our mouths) and walk to the finish line, while doing some stunts (starjumps, frog jumps, 360 degree spins) without making the rubber band fall. When we reached the finish line, we have to return back to the starting line, pass the rubber band to the next person (again, without the help of our hands) and the game continues, until all 4 had finished. We lost (badly) in that game, LOL. D:

The next game is the station game. It's kinda like "The Amazing Race" where you seached around the school for "stations", complete the task they give you, and proceed to find all 10 stations. Trust me, I'm not gonna post about this part, as it's just VERY long. Unless you want to scroll down about 600 words, lol. We won 3rd place in this game. (yay)

The following game is the Treasure Hunt. Papers (Yup, papers, ordinary ones) were scattered around the school, each MAY or MAY NOT contain points (100, 150, 250, 500). The team which gather the most points win. Due to the fact that I was having a mild headache (thanks to the "hair-washing game" from the station game), I kinda walked slowly, I mean VERY slowly. However walking slowly helps me earn 750 points in the process. :D

And after the 1 1/2 hour hunt, our team emerged as the 2nd runner-up, thanks to one of our teammates who gathered a total of 1850 points (LOL). Yeah, it was pretty fun.

The last "game" was kinda unexpected- Water Splashing. Supposedly our goal is to make the opponent's bottles fall, but yeah, we all end up just splashing water (using balloons) onto each other. Childish? Nope, it was fun. Too bad I need to change my clothes, again. D=

Before the camp ended, we had a "Charcoal + Red Paint + Petroleum + Coca-Cola" Barbecue. Originally we thought the charcoal was enough, but it didn't light up, thus one of the guys added Red Paint (Highly Flammable) to the charcoal. Yay, it lighted up... For a minute. Thus, one of the guys went to the nearby petrol station to buy a Petronas petroleum bottle. And after pouring some "very-highly-flammable" petroleum into it, the fire burst out, yet again, for a minute. Not only that, it burned someone's hand (and almost killed him!). Finally, some guys added Coca-Cola for the sake of nothingness. (Seriously, was he THAT retarded?)

I ended up eating nothing, as the charcoal wasn't heated enough to produce enough fire. But still, we had fun. :D

Alright, enough for today, probably will be joining even more camps next time. See ya~

They Say that Teenagers Scare the Living **** out of Me

It's been a VERY VERY VERY long while since I updated this blog, eh?

I guess that most of you had heard of this song, Teenagers, by My Chemical Romance (again).

And yup, the first song of my Mixpod is this, hah.

Teenagers, well, I think, it's a pretty good song, it gives teenagers some "advice" (in a non-direct way), see the lyrics to understand, lol.

The music video is, well, obviously about teenagers making mishaps like gun violence, drugs, break-ins, etc. See THIS link for more info about the MV.

In my opinion, this song never gets boring, serious here. It's a near-perfect mix of some country rock and alternative rock, which people usually never expect it from MCR. (They're a emo / pop punk band, according to Wikipedia)

LYRICS (a MUST read eventhough you don't like the song, IMO it's a good lyrics) (Credits to elyrics.net)

They're gonna clean up your looks
With all the lies in the books
To make a citizen out of you
Because they sleep with a gun
And keep an eye on you, son
So they can watch all the things you do

Because the drugs never work
They gonna give you a smirk
'Cause they got methods of keeping you clean
They gonna rip up your heads
Your aspirations to shreds
Another cog in the murder machine

They say that teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me

The boys and girls in the clique
The awful names that they stick
You're never gonna fit in much, kid
But if you're troubled and hurt
What you got under your shirt
We'll make them pay for the things that they did

They say that teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
Ohh yeah!

They say that teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
All together now!

Teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me

Teenagers scare the living shit out of me
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me
------------------------------------------

Yeah, I know, "shit" was censored in some versions of the video, same goes to "kill" and "murder".

Try listening it from my MixPod, NOW, you won't regret it, eventhough you're NOT a rock fan.

Alright, enough for today. Bye~ :D

Farewell, Micheal Jackson.

Short post, but is dedicated to the King of Pop- Micheal Jackson.

I believe everyone (including me) was pretty shocked when we heard you passed away due to a heart attack. Why do heart attacks love taking on humans?

I don't really listen to your songs often, but I still can say, you are the best. A legend, a king (of pop) and a true singer/dancer. Your songs will be remembered till the end of the world.

Before I end this, I do wish that you'll rest in peace in the other world. May God be with you.

FAREWELL~

So now we're flying, we're free, we're free before the thunderstorm, On towards the wilderness, our quest carries on!

W00ts! Oh yeah, the exams are over. Probably everyone's back to their usual "wake-eat-play-sleep" routine, eh?

Obviously, this exam is, rather, hard. Guess those teachers ain't showing mercy. CHS's mid-term exams are usually the hardest among the three. :(

This post, isn't about celebrating, but yup, the title said it. I'm gonna introduce another rock song- Through the Fire and Flames!

They're cool right? Although Dragonforce ain't as popular as some other rock bands like Linkin Park, TTFAF made them VERY popular as it is the FREAKIN HARDEST song in Guitar Hero III.

To watch the music video, click HERE. It's recommenced to watch it on high quality. (Turning up the volume helps, cause the video's music is pretty soft) Well, this music video is actually the shortened version, the longer version is 7.5 minutes (OMG). The video doesn't make any sense unlike Helena. Somehow there's no "story" in it. But I liked the way they torture the guitars. :P

Here's the lyrics for this song (Credits to Eratticus from GameFAQs):
On a cold winter morning, in the time before the light,
In flames of death's eternal reign we ride towards the fight.

When the darkness has fallen down, and the times are tough all right.
The sound of evil laughter falls around the world tonight.

Fighting hard, fighting on for the steel, through the wastelands evermore,
The scattered souls will feel the hell, bodies wasted on the shores.
On the blackest plains in Hell's domain, we watch them as they go,
Through the fire and pain, now once again we know!

So now we're flying, we're free, we're free before the thunderstorm,
On towards the wilderness, our quest carries on.

Far beyond the sundown, far beyond the moonlight,
Deep inside our hearts and all our souls!

So far away, we wait for the day,
For the lives all so wasted and gone;
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days,
Through the fire and the flames we carry on!

As the red day is dawning, and the lightning cracks the sky,
We'll raise our hands to the heavens above with resentment in their eyes.

Running back from the mid-morning with a burning in my heart;
We're banished from a time in a fallen land, to a life beyond the stars.

In your darkest dreams see to believe our destiny this time,
And endlessly we'll all be free tonight!

And on the wings of a dream, so far beyond reality;
All alone in desperation, now the time has come.
Lost inside you'll never find, lost within my own mind,
Day after day this misery must go on!

So far away, we wait for the day,
For the lives all so wasted and gone;
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days,
Through the fire and the flames we carry on!

Now here we stand with their blood on our hands,
We fought so hard now can we understand?
I'll break the seal of this curse if I possibly can,
For freedom of every man!

So far away we wait for the day,
For the light source so wasted and gone,
We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days,
Through the fire and the flames we carry on!

It isn't as well as planned...

Well, it isn't well planned, nor is the "not-so-good" plan executed properly. Today's gathering ain't that satisfying.

Like the last gathering, 4 of my friends, Bing Xing, Wing Sum, Wei Jian and Ivan Yap was waiting for my dad's arrival at CHS to pick them up. Meanwhile, Jia Yuen, Ting Jie, Shi Ken and Seh Liang took their own transport. Nothing awkwardly strange happened here, although Jia Yuen came a little late. XD

As usual, we begin our fun with playing video games. Kinda showed off my "below-average" Guitar Hero skills to my friends, while they showed off their TOTAL PWNZ0R Naruto skills. And yep, I hereby announce that Lee Seh Liang will be my official competitor for KoF. D:

It's 3.45pm when everyone was excited to go play football at my primary school's field. [sarcasm] Luckily the kind headmaster did not allow us to play in the clean field because of acceptable reasons.[/sarcasm] Really, I didn't get why did the headmaster forbid us to play in an empty field. I mean, we're not gonna vandalise stuffs. We're just some innocent kids trying to have some innocent fun.

Nah, not gonna continue ranting here, or this post will be long. Back to the topic. Due to the inability to use the field, my dad drove us off to a nearby, but smaller field. There was some pretty rude yet disturbing Indian boys there, along with a teenager. Well, I don't wish to rant it out here, but if you really want to know the whole story, MSN me and MAYBE I'll tell you. All I can say is, those boys will be useless adults when they grow up.

After footballing with those retards, we went back to my house JUST FOR A LITTLE WHILE before all of my friends went back home. It wasn't that satisfying, but it SURELY is fun.

Unexpected Bronze Medal

Today, was the annual BTFC Closed Taekwondo Championship. I, unwillingly, took part in the Poomsae event, only to be awarded a bronze medal. :P

The event started at 8am in S.K. Kelana Jaya. Once I reached there, there seem to be no one around, until I started looking at the SUPER-SMALL canteen. I chatted with one of my friend there until 9am.

Like most events, there are speeches, opening ceremonies, etc. Ours are on 9am SHARP. We are forced to stand up and bow when those "VIPs" came. Although it didn't seem hard, it was frustrating, because we need to do that like 3 times per minute.

Nothing much happened after the competition until the time when they announced the results. UNEXPECTEDLY, "Bronze Medalist, Neoh Al Vin!". And yeah, you know what happens next. :D

And yeah, Grand Master Park is coming to SJK (C) Chung Hwa tomorrow! Will post about it tomorrow. Until then, tada~

Helena- My Chemical Romance

Yeah, just feel like introducing an alternative-rock song: Helena, performed by My Chemical Romance.

Well, as you guys might know, I'm pretty much of a heavy-metal fan. Although this isn't really "heavy-metal", it still satisfies me. The theme of the song is about the main singer's (Gerard Way) late grandmother- Helena. And yup, you guessed it, the song is kinda emo. O_O

Some comments about this song: Although it's rated as alternative-rock, it sounds like an emo rock. The lyrics (see below) are pretty much enough to say that it's emo rock.

Click HERE to view the music video of this awesome song (NOTE: It's much better to watch in high quality). Yeah, it's HIGHLY not recommended to watch it if you hate emo songs. This video shows the funeral of a girl (possibly Helena) with the emotional Gerard singing (or is it mourning? O_O). Towards the end, Helena had rose from her coffin and danced down the nave representing crossing over into the afterlife. After she fell back into the casket, all the band members carried the casket (under the rain, though) to the hearse, followed by some dancing men and women with umbrellas. (Credits to Wikipedia)

Below are the lyrics for this song: (Credits to sing365.com)
Long ago
Just like the hearse you died to get in again
We are so far from you

Burning on just like a match you strike to incinerate
The lives of everyone you know
And what's the worst you take (worst you take)
from every heart you break (heart you break)
And like the blade you stain (blade you stain)
Well I've been holding on tonight

What's the worst that I can say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight

Came a time
When every star fall brought you to tears again
We are the very hurt you sold
And what's the worst you take (worst you take)
from every heart you break (heart you break)
And like the blade you stain (blade you stain)
Well I've been holding on tonight

What's the worst that I can say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight
And if you carry on this way
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight

Can you hear me?
Are you near me?
Can we pretend to leave and then
We'll meet again
When both our cars collide?

What's the worst that I can say?
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long not goodnight
Well if you carry on this way
Things are better if I stay
So long and goodnight
So long and goodnight

CHS Teacher's Day 2009

Well, most CHS-ians will think that it's the same as last year's, but in fact, it's different, and much more boring. T_T

Alright, I reached school at 7.25am and entered the hall. Not much happened here until we were called to go to the Assembly Field (tapak perhimpunan). There, me and my friends started our blabbering. First of all, a few teachers went to the center and talked about this "Teacher's Day" thingy (Why does it always have to begin with this? D:). Then some students performed some kind of dance. =.=

Yeah, unlike last year's, it was very boring. After the performances, Mr. Micheal (also known as the human slapper) ordered us to walk IN ONE STRAIGHT LINE to the canteen. I mean, come on, there are more than 1000 students in just Form 1 and 2, and you'd expected us to walk in ONE LINE?

After having our "extremely-quick break", we (the Form 1s and 2s) went to the sports complex while the other students and teachers went to the hall. And yeah, we continued our blabbering. Meanwhile, some singers went to the front and sang some songs (LOL). Then we finally got a chance to see the finals of the CHS Idol. But we actually felt kinda bored as we don't know most of the singers. Well, we continued blabbering, throwing paper planes (childish) and running here and there. I pity the teacher who took care of us there though. D:

Yeah, another boring event had ended just like that. I REALLY hope that next year's won't be this boring. T_T

CHS Sports Day 2009

Yeah, today's the not-so-famous Sports Day. D:

As always, I have to wake up like, 6am? Then I had to rush and eat my breakfast and blablabla... (Will skip this part)

When I reached school, there were a sea of reds, yellows, blues, greens and purples. Yeah, I was in the Red house. Not much to say here... X_X

Alright the fun part starts here, all of the house's mascots were damn funny. Red house's Pinocchio (lol), Blue house's wolf (lolol), Green house's durian (LOL), Yellow house's fire (rofl?) and Purple house's UFO (unbelievable lol). Their performance were pretty funny, and I kinda like to see the durians dancing lol.

After singing the National Anthem and the School's song, everyone gone nuts lol. Almost no one was in their tent. Some played weird games like putting dried ice into a cup of cola, climbing up fences, etc. Sadly though, 2 of the weird "games" I played with my friends was ruined by the prefects lol.

Yeah, around 12.30pm, we all had to gather on the CENTER of the field to watch the prize-giving ceremony. You can imagine how damn hot was it lol. My body's sweating like I just bathed. =X

This year's Sports day went on well. Congratulations to the UFOs for getting first place! :P

The Dark Lair Of Orochi

Hey guys! I did some updates on my blog! And this time Orochi will be the "Main Character" :P

After playing the game Warriors Orochi for quite a long time, I decided to name my blog with the main villian in that game, Orochi. He was pretty cool IMO. And he is currently the best character in any Koei Hack-and-Slash game (namely Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors).

Just a small post for today. I hope you'll be ready to face Orochi's wrath! MUAHAHAHAHA.

-----------------
Well, some of you might not even know what I just wrote, but it actually represents the 4 main activities I (and another 7 of my friends) did today. Well, just read on. :D

Alright, our plan is: Finish the "community service" and play. So, I reached my school at 12pm (That was the place where we all gather). But 2 other guys reached there EARLIER than me (hell yeah, I thought I was the earliest D:) So we chatted while waiting for some other friends (who are just "punctual" on time) to come. And then we set off our "not-so-epic" journey to my house (I don't even know who chosen my house as our project destination X_X)

When we reached there, the first thing we did was work. It only took about 20 minutes for 3 "not-so-interesting-community-services" which are:
1.) Cleaning the dirty fountain. (I live in a condo, duh)
2.) Picking up (or crushing) dried leaves.
3.) Sweeping the "sparkling" floor.

And you may wonder, how the hell did we finished all these in just 20 minutes? With the help of my dad of course. In fact, we only ACTED and not doing the real thing (lol).

After that, we went to my house and played played PLAYED! (That's the meaning of C.I.V.I.C.)

Well, these are the few MAIN games which we played:
1.) Warriors Orochi- My friends went OMGWTHBBQ when they saw the power of Orochi. X_X
2.) Naruto Shippuden 2- THEY ALWAYS BEAT ME UP IN THAT GAME. T_T
3.) King of Fighters Regulation A- I PWNed them in this one. :D

Other than playing, some of my friends continued to work on the Civic Folio with the help of my computer. (That's the meaning of C.O.M.M.U.N.I.T.Y.)

We originally planed to go swimming on 3pm, but due to the cloudy weather, we decided to swim at 2.30pm, thinking that it'll rain at 3pm.

Among the 8 of us, only 6 swam, the other 2 did not swim for some not-so-good reasons. They were just walking around the pool, splashing water (AND EVEN LEAVES!) to us. We had pretty much fun there, and TBH it's the first time swimming with them. :D

Around 2.50pm, 2 of my friends left the pool due to the mild rain. They were pretty scared of lightnings lol. (That's what I meant by S.E.R.V.I.C.E.)

The fun part started when ALL of us left the pool by 3.10pm. We took a small shower in the changing room when a few of my friends took out their so-called "cool phones" and snapped us (lol). Good thing I wasn't snapped when I was changing, or I'll kill them. :P

Then, we went back to my house and started playing/working on the folio, again. Nothing much happened here. :D

At 5.00pm, we went to my primary school to play badminton. As you know I'm pretty weak on ALMOST ALL SPORTS, INCLUDING BADMINTON (Luckily my badminton skills aren't as weak as my football skills X_X). Well, I do hit hard sometimes, but not always. T_T (And that's where the phrase F.O.L.I.O. comes from, although "lobbing" isn't a good word to use here)

6.15pm, we all went back to our secondary school and waited for my friend's parents to fetch them back home. (lol)

It was VERY fun today, I admit, it's MUCH MUCH MUCH more fun than my 13th birthday. What I'd enjoyed the most was swimming. I do wish that we can swim together again one day. :P

That's all for today's post. I know it's long, but who cares? :P

Chinese: 66 (LOL)

Well, at least I know that I should work 100x harder next time. :P

April Fool!

All the stuffs that I mention in this post is TRUE and happened yesterday. XD

Alright, I reached tuition at 9am yesterday when I got fooled just 10 minutes after I step in the door lol. I REALLY CAN'T BELIEVE that I got fooled by the SIMPLEST prank- "the zipper prank" lol (I think you guys know what I meant).

After tuition, I went to school and got PRANK BY THE ZIPPER PRANK AGAIN T_T. After the assembly we went to our class, and I GOT PRANK, AGAIN BY THE ZIPPER PRANK. (lol, the 3rd time I got zipper-pranked today D:)

The first lesson was English. Our teacher HAD ACTUALLY PRANKED US by saying that almost everyone's English marks will be deducted by 5 lol. D:

Then I started playing some pranks with my friends like sticking a "KICK ME" paper on their back (Yeah, I know it's childish, but strangely, it works lol). Then we started playing pranks on some girls by carefully sticking some stickers on their shirt/hair (stickers as in, a "replacement" for liquid papers, if you still don't understand then I don't know HOW to explain lol) :D. I twas just FUN lol.

Yeah, we continued sticker-sticking until reccess when I GOT PRANKED BY THE EBIL ZIPPER PRANK AGAIN LOL.

Nothing much happened until I went home, so I'll skip that part.

After I went home, took a bath and ate dinner, I went to another tuition lol.

And guess what, my friend had sorta "pranked" the teacher by telling her that he forgot to bring ALL THE TUITION-RELATED BOOKS. (Yeah, I know it's a boring prank, but the results are interesting)

And before I finish this post, just to tell you guys that my computer HAD TO BE REFORMATTED due to the Black Screen of Death. So I won't be playing maple these few days lol. T_T

The 1st Exam of Form 2 (Part 2)

This post was meant to be made yesterday, but I was busy, so... =X

Alright, I took the last 2 subjects, which were:

History: LOL, I'm pretty shocked when I saw the questions, it's MUCH easier than I'd expected. :D

Geography: LOL (again), I didn't expect that there was ONLY objective questions but not subjective... :P

LOL, and yesterday, while exiting the school, my KH (Kemahiran Hidup) teacher, which was also the disciplinary teacher, saw me walking beside her and called me (yeah, you can imagine the shocking feeling lol). While walking towards her, I kept thinking about what had I done wrong (LOL)....

And LOL, the reason she called me was because she wanna tell me that I scored pretty high marks in the KH exam (LOL I FINALLY TOOK A BREATH LOL). Yeah, I was pretty shocked as well, I never expected that I did well in my KH exam, she even said that I MIGHT be the best in the class for the KH subject. (LOLOL)

Another short post, gee school is boring nowadays...

The 1st Exams of Form 2 (Part 1)

Yeah, part 1, THERE WILL BE EXAMS AFTER THE HOLIDAYS TOO. D:

I took 7 subjects last week, which was 10 papers (LOL!). But strangely, most of them are easier than what I'd expected.

Here are the subjects I took:

Chinese: Not really that hard, but not really that easy too. :(

English: My most favorite subject. The objective questions are WAY too easy. :D

Malay: Everyone in my class hate this subject...

Moral Studies: Not really hard IMO.

Science: Yup, science, the objective questions are not hard, but the subjective questions are... X_X

Maths: As always, Paper 2 is 10x harder than Paper 1. D:

Kemahiran Hidup (Living Skills): VERY EASY. :D

After the holidays I'm gonna take my History and Geography exams. D:

Another "Survey"

(My sis did this, and I felt that it's cool, so...)

(NOTE: This is probably the HARDEST survey I ever took. =X)

Rules:
It's harder than it looks! Copy to your own note, erase my answers, enter yours, and tag twenty people. Use the first letter of your name to answer each of the following questions. They have to be real...nothing made up! If the person before you had the same first initial, you must use different answers. You cannot use any word twice and you can't use your name for the boy/girl name question.

1. What is your name: Whatimmadeof (Cause it's easier than Alvin)

2. A four letter word: What?

3. A boy's name: Wayne

4. A girl's name: Whitney

5. An occupation: Writer?

6. A colour: White

7. Something you wear: White school uniform? O_O

8. A food: White rice? O_O

9. Something found in the bathroom: "Will" to take a bath? (FULL SENTENCE: The will to bath)

10. A place: Western sea? (I don't know whether it even exist =X)

11. A reason for being late: "Waiting for my parents to fetch me"

12. Something you shout: "WALAU A!" (A chinese-cantonese-hokien-or-whatever word of saying OMG)

13. A movie title: Wow, I can't think of any. X_X

14. Something you drink: White coffee?

15. A musical group: Why ask? I don't know much bands ya know.

16. An animal: White bear? LOL.

17. A street name: LOL, the hardest question... Is there any street named "White Street"? LOL.

Cross-Country Event 2009

I could say, today was a tiring day. D:

You guys might know what is a "Cross-Country" event, right? It's an event where you race to the finish line, in a different way. (Well, simple enough, this race is more of like "hell-like-no-other" than a race)

It's compulsory for all of us. =X

I can't really sleep last night, really, I slept at around 11pm and woke up at 1. Then I started rolling here and there until the clock strikes 4. D:

Well, I reached school at around 7.10am this morning, and yeah, it was WAY crowded than I expected. With students running around, teachers talking, and disciplinary teachers scolding (LOL).

We actually started running at around 8.50am, which is almost an hour later than the expected time (it also explains why we went back UBER late lol). And just about 10 seconds after we left school (to run duh), a boy fell down and injured his leg. Yeah, it was only 10 seconds, what a careless boy. =X

Well, you know that I suck at running (don't laugh, yes you), and I began to feel tired when I reached the 1st checkpoint! (omg?) And yeah, there are 5 checkpoints, 1 checkpoint every kilometer (means it's a 5km run omg)

It's only halfway and I felt that I'm gonna die or something =X. Let's cut short, nothing much actually happened during the run, except for some cars honing us (yeah I know you guys know the reason X_X)

After 40 exhausting suffering long tiring thirsty blablabla minutes, I finally reached school. It was a relief that I didn't faint. =X

Once I took my bag from the "bag room", I went to the canteen and drank 2 bottles (yup, bottles) of cola in 1 minute. (it's also a relief I didn't die by drinking too much)

After that, we "took a boring tour" around the school, with a random person being the "tour guide", it was boring, really, because we went around the school for like 3 times. O_O

At 11.30pm, the award-giving ceremony had begun. Yes, you guessed it, it was boring (LOL). After 1 hour, we went home. (And I slept for an hour after I reached home lol)

And I can't believe we're gonna run 8km next year. =X
